Pharmacological action

Modell Lieber - combined oral estrogen-progestogen contraceptive for continuous long-term use for 91 days. The contraceptive effect of the drug is due to the complementary mechanisms of the active substances, the most important of which include suppressing ovulation, increasing the viscosity of the secretion of the cervix, which complicates the penetration of sperm into the uterine cavity, and changes in the endometrium that prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg.

When using the Model Liber drug, the amount of menstrual bleeding decreases to four per year. In the last 7 days of long-term use of the drug (on days 85-91), against the background of using 10 μg of ethinyl estradiol instead of placebo, there is an increase in suppression of the follicular apparatus of the ovaries and a decrease in the risk of missing ovulation. Menstrual-like bleeding associated with drug withdrawal occurs due to the fact that there is no progestin effect on the endometrium, but in women there is a residual suppression of the hypotolamic-pituitary system due to the administration of a small dose of ethinyl estradiol to control the functional activity of the ovaries.

Dosage and administration
